A question that I have received frequently these days are what photos to request from your photographer, specifically during the moments that the bride and groom are getting ready. Typically we suggest that a bride gets into their wedding dress 30 minutes prior to taking their bridesmaid photos so that they can be sure to get adorable photos like the examples below. These photos you will cherish when you think about the people who were there to help you celebrate on your big day.
Be sure to grab a few photos to show off those lovely shoes you finally decided on after trying on a million pairs!
Whether taking a fun jumping on the bed photo or a lovely posed photo be sure to take plenty of pics in your cute robes!
Another way to incorporate your bridesmaids, sisters, grandmother, or mom have them put your final few buttons on your dress.
I absolutely adore the close up shots, it shows your true soul.
Mother daughter moments are the greatest… so are father daughter moments too.
I can’t get enough of this groomsman photo haha! It can be hard to decide what photos for the guys to take without feeling forced because it truly takes them about 30 seconds to put on their shirt, jacket, and pants. But this goofy photo mimicking the girls definitely takes the cake.
Be sure to get singular bride photos. It is nice to get away from everyone and have a breather right before you leave. Don’t forget it’s your day.
Last but certainly not least is the detail shots of the shoes, dress, and ring. Details of the day can slip your mind so be sure to have these to keep for the rest of your life.
I say this to my clients all the time but getting ready is one of my favorite parts about being in a wedding. Drink some bubbly, listen to Beyonce, and take every moment in. That specific moment in time isn’t going to occur again so soak it all in and have a blast with your girls. When the photographer asks for your shot list be sure these are on there!
